The FD RX-7 was an engineering marvel, too, heralded by many publications and revered for its vanguard design, pure sports car feel, and its technologically advanced 1.3L twin-turbocharged rotary engine that helped push the FD 255 hp out of the box and onto many an enthusiast's garage floors. It featured a 0-60 sprint within the 5-second range, limited-slip differential, antilock brakes on all four corners, and extra-tight suspension.

Underhood is a 13B-REW motor, which was also the first mass-produced sequential twin-turbocharger setup exported from Japan. In stock form, it runs as high as 276 hp. The 13B-REW engine is force fed through the factory twin turbo setup. Cooling the intake charge is a OEM intercooler, which then shoots up the RE Amemiya twin intake. With the shift of each gear comes a burst of air that from an HKS SQV blow-off valve. Twin turbocharger intakes can barely been seen on each side, with HKS Super Mega Flow air filters fit on to their ends.

The (loud) exhaust system consists of a OEM manifold, and a 3.5-inch down- and mid-pipe that leads into an HKS Super Dragger 3.5-inch titanium exhaust.

One of the things makes this monster differ from the norm is a setup he describes as "lightweight and responsive." The former quality benefits from a OEM front bumper, rear bumper, a RE Amemiya GT2 fiber rear GT wing and Scoot fiber hood. Afterwards, it focused on getting the Rx-7 to rolling chassis status so that it would be readily transportable. The stock struts replaced with koni fully adjustable soft/hard Sport shocks and Dobinsons springs

Hanging from them are a set of Racing Beat wheels-17x7.5 , 235/40/R17 Yokohama S1-Z up front, 17x8 the rear-wearing Bridgestone Potenza S02 tires.

In interior department, this rx-7 does not have any special treatment. It does not have a fancy ,colourful gauges, gizmos or electronics, it just have one simple RE Amemiya boost meter ready to monitor the heart beat of the engine. To entertain the driver and passangers, Kenwood KDC-MP239 headunit, Rockford fosgate tweeter, mid speakers and crossover installed.

It garnered double takes on the road, accepted roles on various films, and heroically took its call as Mazda's most legendary ride.
